I have had a longstanding love of travel to new and interesting places around the world. For many years I simply used a point and shoot camera to document my travels. Eight years ago, in 2011, I decided to get more serious about photography and moved up to a DSLR. Little did I know that I was about to embark on an amazing journey. I began to see the world through new eyes and even familiar places looked different.
I love the excitement of stepping out the door with my camera to shoot either something I have pre-visualized or a surprise that presents itself along the way. My only regret is that I didn't find my passion for photography much earlier in life, but I am savoring each and every minute of it now.
I want to thank my friend, Scott Stulberg, for his influence on me as a photographer. It all began when I attended his travel lecture shortly after purchasing my DSLR. When the lights dimmed and his slide show began I sat transfixed, yet very excited, at the prospect of making my own images some day. Scott was also instrumental in helping me put my website together so that I could share my images with others.
Another big thank you to Joe Baraban. I have taken all of Joe's classes as well as many of his workshops. My artist's palette is always with me as well as Joe's pearls of wisdom. With his guidance and encouragement, I have gained confidence and have learned to believe in myself as a photographer.
Thank you for choosing to view my images.
